New Year's Day Walk

The 3km walk is mostly on surfaced paths but there may be muddy sections. 

Waterproof footwear and clothing is advisable.

The walk will end in the cafe where a hot drink will be provided

Walk and Talk - Bursledon, Hamble, Hound

Join a circular guided walk of up to 4km. The walks are at a relaxed pace but can follow unsurfaced paths and be quite muddy in places. Walking boots/wellies are advisable. Refreshments are provided. 

As the focus of the walks is to spot wildlife, dogs are not permitted on the walks. (The walk at Lakeside is open to dogs on leads)  

Meeting instructions are below:

Bursledon - park at Great Down Car Park off Long Lane. This walk is 2.5km and is of moderate difficulty as it has slopes with uneven ground. 

Netley- meet in the Mount Pleasant Playing Field car park on Hamble Lane. This route contains some boardwalk and it follows the Hamble Rail Trail which can get very muddy after rain. The walk is 3km in distance. 

Hamble Common- We meet at The Mercury Library and Hub on High Street in Hamble. Parking is available on Copse Lane. The route is 3.5 km long, passing through Hamble Common and along the coastal path. Ground conditions are uneven in places. We have refreshments in the Mercury Hub.

IVCP walk and talk

Walk and Talk - IVCP

A friendly group who meet for a walk and talk in the park. The walk is up to 3 km in distance at a relaxed pace. It is mostly on surfaced tracks but sometimes includes walking up a slope and after rain the ground conditions can be slippery. Walking boots/wellies and sticks are recommended.

A guided walk to meet new people, chat and explore the Country Park. The walk is a distance of up to 2 km at a relaxed pace.

Parking is free  

Refreshments are available for the cost of £1 for a hot drink and a biscuit. Cash only please

Willow Christmas Tree and Stars Workshop

Louise will guide you to make a festive tree and stars using British willow in this 3 hour workshop. 

No previous skills necessary, although some manual dexterity and patience will be needed.

Bring sharp secateurs if you have them and wear old trousers.

If you have a recent injury, suffer from RSI, carpal tunnel
syndrome or arthritis please check with the tutor first. Email louisearthur@mac.com 

A parking permit will be provided from the Woodland Cafe. A hot drink is included.
