Halloween Spooktacular
Book your arrival time slot to start your adventure around the family trail, please arrive promptly within your arrival time slot for guaranteed entry. Start point at the Marketplace (behind the Woodland Café). While you’ll need to select a specific time to start your adventure, once inside, you can enjoy the experience at your own pace. Wander the woods, toast marshmallows, play spooky games, and enjoy food and drinks for as long as you like—up until the gates close at 9:30pm!
Make sure you have your confirmation email ready to be checked by one of the team, this can be shown on your phones or printed.
Every attendee must book a ticket, the ticket includes: one self led trail around the family trail, marshmallow toasting, and a small treat from the witches cauldron.
Parking charges will apply on the night.
We advise this event is best suited for children 7 years or above, however this is down to parents discretion. We ask that you do not bring dogs to this event.
The event will go ahead whatever the weather (excluding high winds and thunderstorms upon such a time a cancellation email will be sent), so please dress appropriately for the weather, including sturdy footwear and torch!
Refunds will only be given if the event is cancelled by the Itchen Valley Country Park Events Team due to extreme weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Food and drink will be available from our Woodland Café and an outside food trader serving hot food.

Lanterns and Festive Songs- Lantern Workshop
This event is suitable for families with children aged 6+ years.
This ticket is for a space on a lantern workshop and the singalong. Bring along a washed out glass jar to re-use.
Tickets for just the singalong can be purchased separately.
Local choir, Joyful Sounds, will be collecting cash donations for Mountbatten Hospice
Joyful Sounds will be performing at 4pm followed by the procession and festive singalong accompanied by Otterbourne Brass.
Come wrapped up warm and prepared for the weather.

Walk and Talk - IVCP
A friendly group who meet for a walk and talk in the park. The walk is up to 3km in distance at a relaxed pace. It is mostly on surfaced tracks but sometimes includes walking up a slope and after rain the ground conditions can be slippery. Walking boots and sticks are recommended.

A guided walk to meet new people, chat and explore the Country Park. The walk is a distance of up to 2 km at a relaxed pace.

Walk and Talk Bursledon
Join a circular guided walk at a relaxed pace around Old Bursledon. This walk is 2.5km and is of moderate difficulty as it has slopes with uneven ground.
Some of the walk is along unsurfaced path and can be quite muddy in places. Walking boots/wellies are advisable.
As the focus of the walks is to spot wildlife, dogs are not permitted. (The walk at Lakeside is open to dogs on leads)
Refreshments are provided. There is limited seating next to the car park so feel free to bring a deck chair for your comfort.

Walk and Talk Hamble
Join a circular guided walk of 3km passing through Hamble common and along the coastal path. Ground conditions are uneven in places and the footpath can be very wet after rain and high tide. Walking boots/wellies are advisable.
We have refreshments in the Mercury Hub after the walk
As the focus of the walks is to spot wildlife, dogs are not permitted on the walks. (The walk at Lakeside is open to dogs on leads)
