Have fun preparing a healthy meal with your children at our FREE hands on cooking workshop in The Hide, delivered by award winning community cooking specialists Munch. Learn a new, healthy, low cost , family friendly recipe, have lunch and take home extra portions. This family workshop will focus on the importance of good nutrition, food waste prevention and the benefits of cooking from scratch. Families will also get to take home a free copy of the “ Munch Lunch & Dinner.” recipe book.

Walk and Talk - IVCP
A friendly group who meet for a walk and talk in the park. The walk is up to 3km in distance at a relaxed pace. It is mostly on surfaced tracks but sometimes includes walking up a slope and after rain the ground conditions can be slippery. Walking boots and sticks are recommended.

Walk and Talk - Lakeside
A guided walk to meet new people, chat and explore the Country Park.
The walk is aimed at people who are new to walking or have mobility problems. It is a distance of up to 2 km at a slow pace.
Parking is free
Refreshments are available for the cost of £1 for a hot drink and a biscuit. Cash only please

Walk and Talk Bursledon
Join a circular guided walk at a relaxed pace around Old Bursledon. This walk is 2.5km and is of moderate difficulty as it has slopes with uneven ground.
Some of the walk is along unsurfaced path and can be quite muddy in places. Walking boots/wellies are advisable.
As the focus of the walks is to spot wildlife, dogs are not permitted.
Refreshments are provided. There is limited seating next to the car park so feel free to bring a deck chair for your comfort.

Join a circular guided walk of 3km passing through Hamble Village; through The Common and along the coastal path. Ground conditions are uneven in places and the footpath can be very wet after rain and high tide. Walking boots/wellies are advisable.

A sociable space to get creative and learn new skills in The Hide.

Tuesday 27 January Quilling- the art of paper curling to create a flower or insect design
Tuesday 10 February Willow Heart- make a heart using buff willow and woven dogwood
Tuesday 10 March Needle Felt Flower- creating a spring flower out of wool and a felting needle. This session is in the cafe
Tuesday 21 April Fabric applique- transform scraps of material into a colourful fish that you can use for a wall hanging or to make a cushion cover. A piece of cream calico will be provided for the background but if you have got fabric at home you would like to use bring it along and also sharp fabric scissors.
